One other attraction of Pieskowa Skala than the visit to the castle is a short hike to the stone formation called The Hercules’ Hammer. The Hammer is visible from the veranda of the castle. Usually this is the last stop for the tourists who go to stand at the foot of the “Hercules” and measure themselves with it before leaving.
The Hammer is clearly visible and can be accessed independently from the visit to the castle. There is another way by a bit more steep hike to the “Hercules”.
The hammer is made of karst rock that crumbles under weather conditions. So the rock gradually diminished (luckily very slowly).
