Fountains in Borghese Gardens / WPC

The gardens that surround Villa Borghese in Rome have a long history. Established by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in 1605 from his former vinyard, the gardens are one of the most extensive in Rome. There is a number of fountains that refresh both body and spirit after a hot day in the city. My two favorites were the Sea Horses Fountain – because of the horses playing with water; and the part of the pedestal of another fountain – because of the rusty red that is one of “my” colors 🙂 Cascading water makes all sorts of things beautiful 🙂
