Carona, Switzerland

There is a chariming little place in Carona, Switzerland. Situated on the top of the mountain, at the hamlet of Ciona, this tiny village greets many tourists stopping here to look around, visit a white church, or stay in a little hotel. Osteria Ciona is as colorful outside as it is inside. The white chapel of Santa Maria della Grazie is open to parishioners during services and to all the visitors all day. The crooked cobblestoned streets lead through the old part of the village where a few curiosities wait for the traveller. As a foretaste of my trip to Italy, someone displayed a miniture statue of David (THE David) on a little shelf outside the window, for the visitor to notice. A beautiful sundial adorns the chapel.
