Fall is for me a time to reflect on the passing year. Leaves turning from more uniform green to a variety of warm, vibrant colors turn my thoughts to the passage of time. Trees around my house obliged me with these photographs.
What do you think of when the leaves announce the coming of Fall? I start to think about presents that I want to make for my family for Christmas. I am not talking about buying them but actually making them myself.
This year my best friend introduced me to a project of making blankets out of recycled, felted cashmere sweaters. Cashmere fiber is the most delicate and soft of all natural fibers. Incredibly warm, it is just perfect for snuggling on the couch with a cup of tea and a good book.
As I am arranging my designs for the blankets, the colors outside my windows are constantly changing too.
