It is the nesting season for Bald Eagles. This one was sitting on top (of course!) of the tree, clearly visible from a far distance. We drove up to the tree. He looked at us, but was not overly concerned. He posed for us for a couple of minutes, looking sternly from his top branch, and then decided he had enough of human company. We saw him spread his wings – and they are large wings – and fly away. We were close enough to hear the rustle his wings made. Magnificent creature 🙂
