The last installment of the photographs from my visit to the botanical gardens and exotic plants house in Gliwice, Poland. Some of the tropical plants that grow there can be found in the florist shop; others can only to be seen in a desert. Is it not interesting that most cacti bloom in vivid red and yellow? I think it is because of their short blooming time. They must produce the brightest flowers to attract the insects that pollinate them to survive to the next season.
These flowers are certainly bold, both in color and shape, but I prefer more delicate beauty, like the one of a yellow spring crocus poking through the wet soil or a snowdrop raising its white head above the ground.
