When there is a lot of snow on the ground, I spread the seeds under the patio table. With the roof over their heads and plenty of food under their feet, the birds have a feast.
Although pretty, the blue jay is not a polite bird. Rather a bully when around others. He too announces his arrival with a sharp call. However, kind or not, he too is welcome.
Tufted titmouse. Hie is cute and gentle. He makes a sound like a…. little mouse.
Downy woodpecker. He is not shy and sometimes he and red-bellied woodpecker sit on the opposite sides of the suet cube and eat in companionship.
